Dear Dr. Meneleo,
Greetings from Sorsogon!
Thanks for the email. I'm okay, and thanks for asking.
The five (5) boxes of asssorted relief goods arrived a week ago. Please thank on our behalf, the Houston Chapter of the Bicol Association for the great effort in gathering these disaster gifts.
We have reached more than 200 families in the SSAFI, effort to aid the Bulusan Volcano eruption victims. Unfortunately the aid from Houston arrived too late for that. The calamity victims have since returned home from the relocation centers. We therefore sorted out the goods you generously sent and stored them for future, God forbid, similar disasters.
Meanwhile, we are considering those victims as well as people in depressed areas in our rehab Sustainable Agriculture, Health and Nutrition, and Good Governance programs. We value your continued support. Thanks again, and be assured of our grateful prayers.
Sincerely,
Msgr. Angel Dy
CEO- SSAFI

Dear Dr. Meneleo,
Please thank for me and the SSAFI Board, the USA Bikol Association, Houston Chapter, for the donated goods that are in transit. We will acknowlege the same as soon as we receive the boxes.
We recently had incidents of flooding in different locations due to more than a month of unabated rain. Thank God the victims of the two volcanic eruptions and two resultant lahar landslides have since been relocated. Some victims were hit once though many had a double whammy! Still, the lahar deposits at the shoulder of Bulusan volcano is a continuing to the nearby threat residents.
The shipment will add to our stockpile for our rehab program and a faster response whenever disaster strikes. Thank you.
Msgr. Angel Dy CEO, SSAFI

Dear Msgr. Angel Dy,
I hope this letter finds you well.
My apology in the delay of my response.
In behalf of Bicol USA Houston Chapter and the president of the organization Mr. Vic Melgarejo, I want to inform you that last Monday six (6) balikbayan boxes were sent to your foundation, the Social Action Foundation, Inc. through the generosity of Atlas Shippers International, Inc. Most of the packages were clothing and can goods. It might not be enough to feed the whole victims of the natural calamity such as the eruption of the Bulusan Volcano but some how it can alleviates someone’s hunger and burden.
We shall be sending more boxes in the next shipment and most of all we shall include in our prayers the safety of these less fortunate people of Irosin and all areas that have been affected by this calamity.
With the blessing of our “Ina”, the Our lady of Peñafrancia and in the name of service I remain.
Dr. Meneleo
